1. The purpose of studying the discipline is to familiarize students with the current state of development of computer technology, the role, purpose and capabilities of modern information technology; instilling sustainable skills in the effective use of modern information technology and the use of application software to solve various scientific and applied problems in the specialty.

2. Prerequisites for studying the discipline: The normative academic discipline “Fundamentals of Information Technology” is a component of the cycle of professional training of specialists of the educational qualification level “Bachelor”. It is studied in the first semester and provides further study of all professional disciplines. The prerequisites for studying the discipline are the school course “Informatics”
