    TOPIC 1. General provisions. The main problems of traffic management. Requirements for the traffic management. Road traffic as a system.

    The purpose: List the main problems of motorization. Distinguish between objective and subjective reasons for the growth of accidents. Analyze the relationship and interaction of subsystems and components of the DVRTE system.

      TOPIC 2. Regulatory documents and activities of organizations in the field of traffic management. Regulations on the road transport safety management system.

      The purpose: List the main international and national regulatory documents in force in the field of traffic management. Distinguish between areas of activity in the field of traffic organization. Be able to characterize the activities of organizations at all levels in the field of traffic management. Know the main sections of the Law of Ukraine "On Road Traffic". Recognize the purpose of the Patrol Police Department and road safety services.

        Topic 3. Road traffic accidents. Accident Records and Analysis.

        The purpose: Define the concept of a road accident, know the classification features of road accidents, types. Be able to determine the type of accident. Know the documents that are filled out when inspecting the scene of an accident. To have an idea of how road accidents are recorded. Be able to calculate quantitative and qualitative accident rates.

          Topic 4. Driver and traffic safety.

          The purpose: List and define the concepts of psychophysiological characteristics of the driver. Compare the importance of different types of sensations for the driver. Indicate what the driver's perception depends on. Analyze the peculiarities of the driver's thinking. Describe the operational qualities of the driver. List the components of the driver's reaction time.

            Topic 5. Vehicle safety and its types.

            The purpose: List the main elements of active car safety. To characterize the braking qualities of the car. Build a brake diagram of a car. Determine the meaning of the concepts of controllability and stability of the car. Draw diagrams of car movement on turns. Analyze possible options for losing control and stability of the car.  Calculate the critical indicators that characterize the active safety of the car, namely: time and distance to a complete stop of the car, critical speeds at which skidding and overturning can occur; assess the possibility of losing stability of the car at a given speed.
