Abstract of the course. During the work on the course, applicants should acquire the skills of independent work with educational material, apply basic theories, methods and principles of mathematical, natural, social, humanistic and economic sciences, modern models, methods and software tools for decision-making support for solving complex construction problems and civil engineering.
The main tasks of the course:
- practical orientation in the use of mathematical methods and the formation of an appropriate level of creative thinking;
- development of abilities to build mathematical models of typical practical problems;
- self-improvement in the process of acquiring the level of research orientation regarding the application of mathematical methods in problem situations.
I SEMESTER
Торіс 1. The limit of a function of one variable. Continuity of function
Purpose: to study the basic concepts of the theory of limits, to learn how to calculate the limits of numerical sequences, the limits of a function of one variable at a point and at infinity, to reveal various types of uncertainties
Topic 2. Derivative of a function of one variable
Purpose: to know the table of derivatives and the rules of differentiation; learn to find derivatives of functions of one variable; familiarize with the geometric and physical content of the derivative; learn to find derivatives of elementary and complex functions
